Hopefully you've found this site informative and useful. United States World War II Uniforms hopes to become the largest repository of information regarding US military uniforms from 1933 to 1950. Accomplishing this goal will be no easy task. This endeavor involves documenting, in extreme detail, well over 500 uniform items used by the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines during the World War Two era. The desired end result is to create a virtual museum that is innovative, free to all, easy to access, and with no distracting sales pitch or advertisements - a mission that needs your support. Undertaking a website of this scope is important because it is the only practical way to tell the story of these uniforms with the quality and detail they deserve. A book offering the same level of content would be beyond the means of nearly everyone. Though this project will require considerable time and resources to complete, the story of these uniforms is worth telling and they are an important part of our American heritage.
